Joint Projects
Joint Projects is our way of using creativity to do some good and give something back. Anyone at Joint can put forward an idea around a cause or issue they care about, and we give it the time, budget and support to make it happen.
It also gives more junior members of the team ownership over what we do. They can lead projects, make decisions and take an idea from first thought to something real in the world, with the rest of Joint working alongside them.
That makes Joint Projects a live training ground as much as a creative programme, while also proving the value of creativity beyond commercial work: a good idea can get people to notice, think, talk and act.

Created with Stop Hate UK, Have I Got Phobia For You? challenged the casual use of phobic language in the media. Players were shown real headlines and asked to identify whether they were homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic or another form of hate.

With no paid media, the project attracted 50,000+ visits and 12,000+ full play-throughs, as well as coverage from Campaign, Attitude and PinkNews and conversations across social media.

The North Pole Dancer used an unexpected combination of humour, technology and a pole-dancing polar bear to draw attention to the loss of Arctic ice. The live-streamed project took a serious subject and made it hard to ignore, using entertainment to get people engaging with an issue they might otherwise scroll past.

Over the years, Joint Projects has given us a space to try things we might never get to make through a normal client brief. Projects have explored new technology, different creative formats and issues our people care about. Anyone can bring an idea forward and, however junior they are, take the lead in making it happen.
